First Aid Oil

In the mid-90s, the original owners of Source Vital, Jerry Pope, and Brea Gratia, formulated an Elixir that would become a versatile solution for minor injuries. Initially, First Aid Oil was named BBC Oil (Bumps, Bites, and Cuts). This pure essential oil blend found its place in spas as a soothing treatment after waxing, calming the skin's appearance following extractions, electrolysis, and other procedures. At home, it became a trusted aid for cuts, bruises, insect bites, burns, scrapes, and other abrasions.

A few years later, the First Aid Cream was introduced. With its richer texture and longer-lasting effects, it became the perfect finishing touch for waxing and electrolysis, serving as a remedy for all minor skin traumas. Alongside the Cream, the First Aid Spray was developed. It quickly found its way into homes, being used as an insect repellent, for diaper rash, sunburn relief, and soothing any tender boo-boos. Professionals also embraced it as a post-waxing treatment, for sun or windburn, and as a refreshing finishing touch after body treatments.

The suite of products comprising the Elixir, Cream, and Spray, affectionately known as "Blue Juice" by our customers and employees, continues to amaze us with its remarkable qualities. It has become an indispensable part of both spa product inventories and home first aid kits, holding countless stories of its effectiveness and versatility.

Transition Natural Elixir

Jerry Pope, the Founder of our company, was inspired to create Transition Natural Elixir after hearing about the hardships faced by two of his friends who had experienced profound losses within the same week. Motivated by their stories, Jerry ventured into our oil room and crafted what would become known as Transition, a truly transformative essential oil blend designed to provide solace during significant life changes.

Transition was specifically formulated to assist individuals in navigating the complexities of grief, uncertainty, and major transitions. Millennium Essential Oil 

As the year 2000 dawned upon us, Source Vitál Apothecary fostered a sense of unity and creativity by hosting a company-wide competition to select the perfect essential oil blend to mark the arrival of the new millennium. Named Millennium, the winning formulation was conceived by Lynda Torrey, who held the position of Director of Education at that time. 

Undergoing further refinement, Millennium transformed into one of our most popular diffusion blends, captivating the hearts of many. Crafted solely from pure essential oils, this blend seamlessly combines ten carefully selected oils, each one representing a defining decade of the last century.

Millennium Essential Oil Blend stands as a testament to the creativity, ingenuity, and collective spirit of our employees, who contributed their passion and expertise to create a truly exceptional fragrance. Cleanse Essential Oil 

In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic that swept across the globe, our dedicated cosmetic chemist, Sophia, had already been tirelessly researching and developing an improved hand sanitizer solution even before its widespread necessity became apparent. By January 2020, she successfully created our exceptional Cleanse Essential Oil Blend, which quickly became available in various forms such as diffusion blend, spray hand sanitizer, and foaming hand soap.

The primary objective behind the creation of Cleanse Essential Oil Blend was functionality, with a specific focus on providing effective hand cleansing. Our Cleaner Hands Spray was then created with an alcohol content of 68.5%. This blend surpasses the recommendations set forth by both the CDC and FDA, ensuring optimal sanitization with a concentration exceeding the minimum requirement of 60% for hand sanitizers. 

Cleanse not only fulfills its vital role in promoting proper hand hygiene and reducing the risk of illness transmission, but it also offers an aromatic experience that is both refreshing and pleasing to the senses. The thoughtful combination of essential oils not only contributes to the blend's effectiveness but also adds an uplifting element to the hand sanitizing routine.

Hodgepodge Essential Oil

During the daily blending activities in our lab, whether it's in production batches or during research and development (R&D) processes, we inevitably accumulate a "dump" container filled with leftover essential oils. These remnants consist of the remaining drops from pipettes and beakers, samples of custom blends that were not selected, and various other remnants. Traditionally, we would dispose of these leftovers. However, a turning point came when we were developing our Essential Oil Roll-Ons and found ourselves creating numerous versions of various blends, resulting in a surplus of unused oils. Not only did this surplus smell wonderful, but it also seemed wasteful to discard such fragrant goodness. As a result, we made the decision to offer these surplus oils as a limited edition diffusion blend, which we affectionately named Hodgepodge Essential Oil Blend.

Now, whenever our unused oil collection reaches a substantial quantity, typically around a quart, we bottle it for sale as Hodgepodge. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with customers embracing the delightful scent and the affordability of this unique blend. In fact, Hodgepodge has become so popular that we are currently offering its fourth version on our shelves.

One remarkable aspect of Hodgepodge is that regardless of the specific blend remnants and combinations that make their way into it, it consistently emanates an appealing aroma. It's almost magical how the diverse elements come together harmoniously, resulting in a blend that never fails to smell pleasing. Additionally, Hodgepodge offers excellent value for its affordability, allowing customers to enjoy the olfactory experience without breaking the bank. However, there is a downside to the ever-changing nature of Hodgepodge. Once a particular version of the blend is sold out, it is gone for good. The limited availability adds a sense of exclusivity and excitement, but it also means that customers must seize the opportunity when it arises.
